About Shish
Scott Shishim is a Bosch E-bike Certified Mechanic and attended SRAM Technical University. He works on all types of bicycles from road, mountain, BMX, cross, touring, townie and kids’ bikes.
The Shish Story
Scott Shishim has been wrenching on bikes since 1992. He learned the basics of bike maintenance at an early age from his father. His passion for mountain biking led him to Durango, where he raced for Fort Lewis College and honed his skills at Durango Cyclery which was a top 10 U.S. shop at the time. He was fortunate to work with professional mechanics and for one of the best shop owners ever.
Since learning to ride BMX age 5, Scott has never forgotten the feeling of balancing on two wheels. He started racing in 6th grade on road bikes, and expanded to mountain bikes a year later. Scott shares his love of cycling with kids and has coached junior mountain biking through Durango DEVO, developed after school mountain bike clubs, and taught Physical Education for six years with a cycling program for kids age 3 to 13.
Scott still gets out to ride mountain bikes in Western Colorado, and is passionate about sharing his experience and service at SK Bikes in Paonia, Colorado. He is ready to put Paonia and the emerging area trails on the bicycling map.
